Lia has produced, recorded and released some of her songs. Two singer-songwriter albums were created (Sie lebt, Hier und Jetzt), with music videos and singles.(Verstummt ist mein Kummer, Plastik, Erkenntnis, Making of Hier und jetzt). Hier und jetzt is a homage to life with all its rough edges. Joy, love, passion, worries, sorrow and hardships, coupled with critical observation, devotion and a wink. A varied mix of soul, world, jazz and pop music!

Lia Andes sings her own compositions and accompanies herself on the piano. With the 23 songs she wrote, like a rhapsody, she takes the listener on a journey through different cultures, tells stories and radiates joy and warmth. Her soul-pop music with influences from classical, jazz, hip-hop and world music creates a very personal atmosphere.
This maxi single is Lia's first release as a singer-songwriter under her own label Bluespirit Records. On the single there are two versions of Lia's song: "Verstummt ist mein Kummer". The hip-hop classical version with band accompaniment and several voices (all sung by Lia) contrasts with the concert version: voice and piano (played by Lia Andes). It's interesting how differently the songs are presented. While the hip-hop classic version impresses with its versatile vocals and cool groove, the "unplugged" concert version offers a warming closeness and naturalness.
This Masquerade is a jazz production, a cross-section of different styles of jazz. The CD was recorded in Germany and New York. Lyrics and compositions (except the title song “This Masquerade”) are from producer Rudy Stevenson. Rudy Stevenson has worked with well-known singers such as Nina Simone and Anita Moore and he played in the Duke Ellington Orchestra. Lia Andes' multi-faceted and expressive voice enabled a diverse selection of pieces on this CD.
